All Together Now – Why an All-In-One Mod Makes Sense

Plato Starter Kit - Aspire

The emergence (or re-emergence) of all-in-one devices is one of a handful of directions mod manufacturers are going in order to continue attracting consumer dollars to the latest and greatest new devices. From traditional tank systems incorporated into a box mod like Kanger's Nebox and Aspire's Plato to squonk boxes like Kanger's Dripbox to simple devices like the eGo-on-steroids Joyetech AIO, single-source setups are becoming popular. Let's look at why.

Let's be honest – unless you're a dedicated hobbyist, you don't want to spend time researching and wondering how this tank pairs with that mod – does the fit, power delivery, and style match up? With an all-in-one device, you're getting all of your parts from the same manufacturer shipped in the same box. You just know it'll work right off the bat.

This is a big one, especially if you're a guy looking to pocket a box mod or a gal with limited room in your date night clutch. By combining the tank or liquid reservoir with the battery space in the box mod itself, you're looking at a much smaller overall package, making vaping on the go a much more palatable proposition. Comparing the box mod that sit on my desk, the Dripbox (my latest darling) only protrudes above the height of my IPV 5 by the height of the drip tip – it's aa good 1.5" shorter after considering the tank and it weighs far less than half as much, making it my preferred out-and-about device.

While most hardware these days is interchangeable, there are certain things like positive pin protrusion (yes, this is a thing), thread length, and tank/box mod width that make it so, while workable, certain products just don't line up ideally with one another. When all of your components come from a single source, you should rest assured that they're designed to give you a sleek, flush look.

Given the benefits, it's hard not to give a close look at some of the hot new ll-in-one devices hitting the market lately (we here at Breazy have to say we're personally Dripbox devotees) – even if you've got a bulkier box mod you prefer for home use, wouldn't it be nice to supplement that with an easy box mod to grab and go that's even more convenient and compact than the old pack of stinkies and lighter?
