FAQ For New Vapers
So you’re ready to start vaping, but you have a lot of questions. Don’t worry, it’s perfectly normal to have questions, and all of us at Breazy are here to help!
What device should I get?
There are so many types of vapes to choose from, how do you know which one to buy? You could spend a fortune trying one of everything, but a better bet might be to think about how you want to use your vape, and what expectations you have. If you’re hesitant to try vaping, or are looking for a small, easy to manage device, a cigalike or vape pen may be best for your needs. A vape pen typically has a built in battery, and uses pre-built coils. These devices are compact and low maintenance, making them a greater starter device.
If you’re looking for something that you can modify and alter as your tastes change, something that will grow with your needs so to speak, you may be interested in a box mod. Mods allow for greater personalization, but also require more maintenance than a vape pen. Not only that, many top-quality box mods these days come as a kit paired with a high-performance tank that’s compatible with other mods but designed to fit beautifully with its paired box.
How much is this going to cost me?
The upfront costs are going to be more than a pack of cigarettes, but don’t let this keep you from making the switch to vaping. In the long run, the investment can often save people money. For a good device that will last you a long time, isn’t it worth spending a little extra upfront? If you’re worried about making the jump Breazy.com has a vape pen that will only set you back about $10 to decide if vaping shows enough promise to invest in better quality equipment.
How do I know which e-juice is right for me?
One of the major benefits of vaping is the ability to choose your nicotine level. E-juices range from 0 mg to as high as 48 mg (most of the high-potency stuff is going to be found in cigalike “pod mods” and really isn’t a fit for most “open fill” systems). The nicotine strength of e-liquid is measured in the amount of milligrams of nicotine contained in one milliliter of juice. If you’re a smoker making the transition to vaping and smoke around a pack a day, you may want a higher nicotine level. Here’s our guide to help you get an idea of where you might want to start out based on the type of device you’re using and what kind of tobacco habit you’re trying to kick.
VG/PG values also play a role. The higher the VG value, the larger the cloud. The higher the PG value, the harsher the throat hit. 30PG/70VG tends to be most popular with those who want the best of both worlds. This blend provides decent vapor clouds, with some throat hit (depending on the nicotine level - at 3 mg or below throat hit will be minimal at any mix ratio), and smooth flavor. If you want to know even more about what goes into your liquid, we’ve got that covered right here.
