Unboxing Your New Vape - Do's and Don't's

Unboxing Your New Vape - Do's and Don't's

Finally, your new vape has arrived! You've unboxed your vape, maybe with some new e-liquids, and a perhaps free Breazy swag, but now what? You may be tempted to plug everything in and start vaping right away, but first let's talk about a few things that could damage your device, or pose a safety concern if you're not familiar with your new device.

The first step you'll want to take is to locate your mods instructions. Check the packing list for the device and ensure all pieces are there. If you're missing a piece in the box, be sure to call the company you purchased your device from right away (i.e. while the device is still in new condition). Once you've checked to ensure all the pieces of your device are there, read and follow any assembly instructions. These will also offer tips on basic troubleshooting. Please note that each manufacturer has their own format for instruction manuals and the device may come nearly set up and ready to go.

One of the first steps while assembling your device is to prime the coil. This is crucial to a successful vaping experience, and shouldn't be ignored. We're so convinced you need to know how to do this properly we've written a whole article about it.

Before firing the device, ensure your batteries are fully charged, undamaged, and compatible with your device. My vape didn't come with batteries, so I needed to double check to ensure that the new batteries I had bought were the ones that worked with my device - again, there's a whole article dedicated to this. Take the time to properly install the batteries, and power the device on. If you purchased a vape that has adjustable wattage, be sure to check it before you fire it up. I made the mistake of trying to complete the coil priming process by firing my vape up as soon as I powered it up. My vape had defaulted to the highest level of wattage, and my new coil was hit with ninety watts right off the bat. Luckily, I had only fired it for a millisecond and my coil survived, however, had I not caught my error as quickly as I did, I could've destroyed the brand new coil.

Most of all, read all of the operation guides, protections, and warnings that come along with your device. They are put inside the kit for a reason, and it's not to waste paper - though the quality of translation varies greatly. These precautions are important, and failure to follow them could put you at risk for damaging your device, causing injury due to negligence, or voiding your warranty. If you're spending the money on a quality device, take the time to familiarize yourself with how it works and the safety precautions that are embedded in the device. And if all else fails, feel free to reach out for specific help - vape forums are a great source of information, and you can always reach out to us direct through that handy help button at the corner of your screen. Now get fired up and enjoy your new vape gear!
