Wismec Notch Coil - Wimec & Jaybo Design Review

Wismec & Jaybo Notch Coil Review

The continuing partnership Wismec & Jaybo has resulted in a steady release of phenomenal products that have caught the attention of vapers of all levels of expertise. The relationship has led to many innovations in how we vape, including the triple-18650 RX200 mod that's still tops in vaping after many months on the market. The latest innovation from the Jaybo Designs lab is the Notch Coil. The Notch Coil is a barrel shaped coil that heats evenly without requiring the fine tuning those of who build using traditional vape wires such as Kanthal.

The Notch Coil itself simplifies the vaping for those who want to get into rebuildables, but don't want to deal with the anxiety of creating the perfect coil. Because of the gaps in the coil barrel, wicking your cotton happens at a much faster rate because juice flows through the coils with less restriction than a traditional contact coil. Another beauty of the Notch Coil is that you can use it in both wattage mode and in temperature control mode using a stainless steel temperature control profile.

The Notch Coil fits best on the Theorem RTA, but users have adapted them to work with to other RTAs including the Avocado RTA, The Herakles Beast RTA, and the Sigelei Moonshot. Using the Notch Coil in RDA-style atomizers is not recommended because of the limitations in how much wattage it can safely handle. For their price and the convenience of quick and hassle-free interchanges, the Notch Coil is an upgrade we'd recommend trying out if you own an RTA or are considering making the jump into rebuildables.
