Sense Cyclone - Innovative New Subohm Tank
Sense made waves in early 2015 with it's Herakles Sub Ohm Tank which went on to be the best Sub Ohm Tank in class among vapers who prefer a sub ohm experience. The Cyclone takes the best features of the Herakles and steps it up tremendously with new features which I will break down throughout this article.
The tank is nice and trim measuring out at a diameter of 22mm which means it's still 3mm smaller than the Kanger Subtank full sized tank. Another improvement from the Herakles to the Cyclone was that the Herakles features I wider bore drip tip that came to a narrow chamber at the housing bed. With the Cyclone Sense made sure the wide bore was wide all the way through the chamber thus allowing you to experience the volume of clouds wide bore is meant to produce. Rated at a max capacity of 150 watts makes the Cyclone idea for use with newer more powerful box mods capable of firing within it's max range. The engineers at Sense ensured that it's insulators would be able to hold up to the heat produced by watt ranges that would normally damage the integrity of insulators. It's new top fill design makes this tank a breeze to use, at high wattage you will have to fill it often and Sense recognized this as well as recognized the need to expand airflow from two to three intake holes.
One of the few complaints with the Herakles tank was it's lack of a rebuildable deck, Sense listened closely and introduced it's first RBA deck ever inside of the Cyclone. They didn't just slap on an RBA deck for the sake of doing so, as they did with the Herakles coil they made sure it was capable of handling even the most thick juice. Viscosity has always been a concern with vapers due to RBA decks of the past not being as quick to juice their coils if they used high VG ratio of e-liquids. The ability to create your own coils for the tank is a tremendous plus when it comes to long term cost and usability. As with other tanks factory coils are included in the package for the Cyclone but sense has also upped the ante by including a temperature control coil into the packaging. The 510 contact pin has been upgraded to copper which produces greater conductivity as well as holding up better to wear and tear in the long run. One of the coolest features in this tank is the new technology that prevent you from inhaling juice when you vape, we all know about the splash up of juice that can happen with sub ohm tanks. Sense took not of that and included a way to prevent this without impeding the flavor or cloud production of the tank.
As with all Sense products you can expect fantastic craftsmanship and a very durable product. My personal experience with the Cyclone has been fantastic I am sure once you try one you will agree this is now officially king of the sub ohm tanks.
