Replacement pods and cartridges are necessities for anyone using pod mods or non-disposable cigalike vapor devices. Sooner or later, you're going to need some replacements to keep you vaping. So let's go over what they are and how to get them.

If you’re not familiar with pods and cartridges, this might seem confusing at first. What kind do I need? Can I switch my pod out for one from another device? Luckily, here at Breazy we have all your answers and our online store is chock-full of pods and cartridges to choose from.  

Pods are small containers that store e-liquids in closed- and open-system pod mods. They snap or screw into pod mod batteries, replacing spent pods that have been drained of their liquid and no longer produce vapor.  

Cartridges are similar to pods, but instead of containing a disposable liquid tank and small wick drawing liquid to a coil, cartridges are filled with wicking and liquid commingled.

Both pods and cartridges use a simple snap in/out function that’s easy for new vapers to use, and both are designed to be replaced once empty (though open-system pod mods can often be refilled three or four times before they stop working).  

Some pod mods are disposable and offer only one-time pods that can’t be switched out, but most pod mods have replaceable pods that you can buy separately.

If you’ve been in a store that sells vaping devices, like a gas station, corner store, or vape shop, they’re usually found behind the counter or in a locked area sectioned off.

Pods and cartridges have risen in popularity because traditional, larger mod devices are sometimes seen as cumbersome or daunting for new vapers. An emerging trend is less demand from casual vapers for bigger devices and more need for smaller transportable devices that could be taken anywhere.

This is especially true for folks vaping in cars and on trains on their way to work, going out to vape on lunch breaks, and using vaping in social situations in bars. They can be kept in pockets, purses, backpacks, pretty much anywhere they can fit.

While they’re great for most people, pods and cartridges have their limitations. Their smaller size means that there’s less liquid for you to enjoy. Most pods hold anywhere from 0.5ml to  2.5ml, and the nicotine intake is roughly equivalent to one pack of cigarettes.

Additionally, when you use pod mods rather than advanced mods, the batteries die faster. These minor issues aren’t much of a problem if you’re a big fan of what pods and pod mods have to offer, but for some veteran vapers use to mods it can be a letdown.

To a large degree, pods, cartridges, and the pod mod systems that use them, have been an exciting innovative way to vape. They have made vaping easier and more accessible to a wide audience of people trying to quit smoking
