Vape Mods, Box Mods & Mod Kits

Vape mods for sale from the brands that build them best: the rugged GeekVape Aegis Legend 5 200W, the 230W SMOK Morph 3, the Vaporesso Armour Ultra with iTank, and a full range of 80W pod mods like the SMOK Nord 6, GeekVape Aegis Force and Vaporesso LUXE X3. Most box mods here come as complete kits with a sub-ohm tank, so all you add is vape juice and, for dual-battery mods, a pair of 18650 or 21700 batteries.

Box mods vs pod mods

  • Box mods (100–230W): the most power, biggest clouds and full control over wattage, airflow and coil choice. External batteries mean all-day run time with a spare set. Best with 3mg freebase juice and a sub-ohm tank.
  • Pod mods (30–80W): a mod-style chipset with adjustable wattage in a pocketable body that uses replaceable-coil pods. The Nord 6, Aegis Force and LUXE X3 cover restricted-lung and direct-lung vaping without the bulk. See all pod vapes.
  • Just starting? A complete vape starter kit is the simplest way to get a matched mod and tank.

What to look for in a vape mod

Wattage range (80W covers most single-coil tanks; 200W+ is for dual-coil mesh), battery type (built-in for convenience, 18650/21700 external for run time), chipset features like temperature control and bypass, and build quality – the Aegis line is built water-, dust- and shock-resistant, which is why it's the box mod we recommend most. Every mod is authentic, ships fast within the U.S., qualifies for the weekly sitewide sale code at the top of the page, and orders over $100 ship free. Vape Mod Buying Guide

Single-battery vs dual-battery box mods

A single 18650 or built-in-battery mod (up to about 100W) is lighter and cheaper to run; a dual-battery mod like the Aegis Legend 5 or Morph 3 runs 200–230W and lasts far longer between charges. If you vape below 60W, a single-cell or built-in mod is plenty. Cloud chasers and anyone running 0.15Ω dual-mesh coils should go dual battery.

Which tank or coil goes with your mod?

Kits ship with a matched tank – the Armour Ultra with Vaporesso's iTank, for example – and the replacement coils for those tanks are under vape coils. Buying a bare mod? Any 510-thread sub-ohm tank fits; just check the tank's coil resistance sits inside the mod's supported range.

Batteries and charging

External-battery mods do not include cells. Use matched, high-drain 18650 (3000mAh, 35A) or 21700 (3750mAh, 40A) batteries such as the Golisi packs in our battery collection, charge them in a dedicated charger when you can, and never carry loose batteries in a pocket with keys or coins.

Wattage, resistance and the right juice

Follow the wattage range printed on your coil, start at the low end and work up. Sub-ohm coils (under 1.0Ω) want 0mg–6mg freebase e-liquid in a 70/30 VG/PG blend for thick vapor. Save salt nic for pod devices; 25–50mg strengths are far too strong at mod wattages.

Vape Mods FAQ

What is a vape mod?

A vape mod is the battery and control unit of an advanced vape: it sets the wattage or temperature delivered to the coil in the attached tank. "Box mod" refers to the box-shaped, usually dual-battery version; a "pod mod" is a smaller mod that uses pods instead of a tank.

What is the best box mod for beginners?

A complete kit with a built-in chipset that picks the right wattage for you. The GeekVape Aegis Legend 5 kit is nearly indestructible and simple to run; the SMOK Morph 3 gives 230W at a lower price; the Vaporesso Armour Ultra pairs a compact mod with the excellent iTank. All are in stock as kits with a tank and coils.

How much do vape mods cost?

Pod mods start around $25–$45; full box mod kits with a tank run $50–$90 before the weekly sale code. Batteries for external-cell mods add $20–$30 for a pair.

Do vape mods come with a tank?

The kits in this collection do. Each listing states whether it's a kit (mod + tank + coils) or a standalone mod; standalone mods pair with any 510 tank in our tank collection.

Can I use a box mod with salt nic?

Only with a high-resistance (1.0Ω+) coil at low wattage, and even then most people find salts too harsh in a mod. For salt nic, a pod system is the right tool.
