GeekVape Comes To Rock Squonk With The GBOX Squonk 200W Starter Kit

>

As the review of the GBOX Squonk 200W Starter Kit start to trickle out and send the vaping community into a frenzy we believe it's time to share our personal experiences with this new device from GeekVape. As a squonk vaping enthusiast who has seen his share of fails and successful product launches the GBOX has ticked every checkbox of what I expect in a regulated mod. Recently we took a look at some of the best emerging squonkers but at the time we couldn't write about the GBOX because we did not have one on hand, it is safe to say the playing field would not have been fair to its competitors. Let's get into why that is and what you can expect from this new starter kit.

The GBOX Squonk 200W Starter Kit is a true two battery regulated mod, quite possibly unanimously the two battery squonker we've been waiting for since the day of REO Squonk Mods. With the exception of the Dripbox 160W by KangerTech the masses have long sought out the release of a squonker capable of higher wattage than the common single battery squonk kits released by Vandy Vape and Lost Vape. One notable exception here is that while those were all great devices they are either single battery and/or unregulated. For those of us who like piece of mind regulated mods and extra power to get us through the day are a must have. The GBOX has this covered very well for the first time in year, but aside from that the real question you'll have is how does it vape?

I can honestly say that after using all of the most squonk releases of the year the GBOX 200W Starter Kit is perfect for the aforementioned reasons. Yet it really shines in its performance whether its temperature control or wattage mod this thing puts out power. The gold plated squonk pin provides perfect conductivity. One con that I do have is the Radar RDAs juice well, I wish it was a bit deeper because shallow juice wells often lead to minor spillage if a mod is tilted. In terms of how the mod seals the gap between mod and atomizer, that is perfection, no leaks at all! The vapor production from the Radar RDA is dependent on your wicking and the quality of your coils but with a good initial setup you'll achieve flavor nirvana. While I had a wide variety of rebuildables to test on this device I always came back to the included one, it's nice and stout meaning when the mod is in the hand all you see is part of the cap which is nice for concealment on the go.

Pros:

  • Dual Battery
  • Temperature Control
  • Accurate readings and output
  • Affordable
  • Upgradeable
  • Durable
  • Unique build posts angled to isolate each build

Cons:

  • Battery door must be opened to remove squeeze bottle
  • Squeeze bottle included is not as good as the Capo squeeze bottles
  • Included coils are very low quality
  • Not designed for single coil builds

Overall this is definitely the setup you want if you love all inclusive solutions right out of the box. The only true improvements that could be made would be with the juice well and the plastic bottles. It seems that one of those solutions will be available with the separate purchase of alternative bottles for squeezing. With that set aside this is a perfectly good mod for vapers who love dripping but don't want to carry around bottles of juice with them.
