Netflix & Vape: Breazy Flavor Recommendations for New Releases

Goodbye summer, we hardly knew ye.

And hello to fall, the season of pumpkin spice everything and sweater weather! Or flannel shorts and puffer vests, or leggings and UGG boots depending on where you live.

Now that cuddling (and cuffing) season is around the corner, we switch our sights from beach views to our living rooms and TV screens. Here's our team’s list of Netflix films coming out in October with our accompanying flavor recommendations for a true chill and flix sesh.

We have the full list of shows and flicks linked at the bottom of this story, but here are a few releases you can pair with some of our favorite flavors for a snuggly (and sometimes spooky) binge experience.

>

The Green Mile + Smores Loaded E Liquid: One of Stephen King's outliers from the horror genre, The Green Mile, is a film based off the 1996 novel about a hulking man by the name of John Coffey (played by Michael Clarke Duncan) convicted and sentenced to death for murdering two girls.

>

But Paul Edgecomb (played by Tom Hanks), the head guard of the Cold Mountain Correctional Facility, begins to open his eyes to both miracles and injustices during Coffey’s stay on death row. The green tiles lining the path to electric chair are why that short stretch to meet one’s maker is called “The Green Mile.”

One of our favorite scenes is the character-establishing moment of Sam Rockwell as William 'Wild Bill' Wharton, aka the resident douchebag. Wild Bill commits the sinful act of wasting a Moon Pie by spitting it onto a guard.

The takeaway of this scene is clear: Don’t. Ever. Waste. A. Moon. Pie.

If you can’t get a Moon Pie, Smores by Loaded E Liquid is a great substitute. Sweet and packed with that chocolate/graham cracker/marshmallow combo, it’s a step up in Moon Pie evolution in that you don’t even need to get your hands sticky with the chocolate coating. We recommend you do an interactive viewing and vape your s’more-flavored liquid during the powerful and moving scene in which a Moon Pie is so heartlessly wasted.

(Though, if you get an actual Moon Pie, that’s perfectly fine too.)

Gotham Season 4 + Mob Boss E Liquid: Whether you love or hate Gotham as a show, we can all agree on one thing: No one wants to live in Gotham in real life.

What’s essentially a Batman universe sans Batman, the show follows detective Jim Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie) as he tries to clean up the city. The thing is, from its heavily influential mob boss world, to the crooked cop-filled PD, he’s got a big mess to clean up. Plus, he has to help a precocious young millionaire heir find out who killed the kid’s parents.

Gee, I only wonder who that broken little boy is...Wait, could it be...Bruce Wayne? That whole “no Batman” thing didn’t last long.

Essentially an origin story of the villains (and some heroes), what the show loves to hammer home is how crappy of a city Gotham is and what it takes to survive regardless of what side of the law you’re on. Sure, Breazy is based in New York City, one of the inspirations for Gotham, but crime isn’t so rampant in the streets that our criminals don suits and give themselves weird names.

Usually.

Plus it’s official that Gotham is in New Jersey. Makes sense now.

Despite how bad things get in Gotham, Mob Boss E Liquid is all that’s right in the world. It tastes like a cinnamon cappuccino explosion in your mouth, and while that sounds weird when we say it, it’s actually a yummy thing. A great binge companion when one of the most noteworthy villains is Carmine Falcone, the Mob Boss and the closest to a ‘good’ guy Jim faces in the criminal underground. Until you piss him off.

He’s still a mob boss after all.

The Shining + Visitor White Noise E Liquid: All work and no play makes us all dull, doesn’t it? Now for a real horror recommendation, we’re going for the classic Stephen King novel-to-movie with The Shining.

The Shining is about Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson), an aspiring writer and recovering alcoholic who becomes the caretaker of the creepy Overlook Hotel in the Colorado Rockies. But as his stay stretches into the cold dark months of winter, his wife (played by Shelley Duvall) and son catch on that he’s slowly losing his mind. (And that they should probably check out before they lose their lives.)

A nastier side to the supernatural, with ghosts and malevolence as key supporting actors, this is a great film to jumpstart the fears of isolation, phantoms, long hallways and your loved ones turning against you when it gets colder. (And we haven’t even gotten through Thanksgiving yet.)

Speaking of unwanted ethereal visitors, White Noise's Visitor e-liquid is what happens when you add 10 fruits into one vape liquid. But the actual taste? It’s a mystery! (Kind of like why Jack Nicholson decided to take an axe to his sweet, bug-eyed wife.)

(And yes, of course, we'll place the red-cherry Red Rum flavor right alongside Visitor, but in the second runner-up position. That's not because we don’t love it, it was just too obvious a choice.)

Tangerine + Tangerine Dream Northland Vapor E Liquid: We think everyone can agree that of all the uses of the iPhone 5S back in 2015, no one thought: “I’m going to make an award-winning film on one of these bad boys.” At least not until Tangerine.

Filmed entirely on, yes, a little iPhone that would now be considered obsolete, this wonderful dramedy follows transgender sex worker Sin-Dee Rella and her best friend on a citywide search for her boyfriend, who has been cheating on her with a cisgender woman.

So pristinely directed by Sean Baker, the dynamic between Kitana Kiki Rodriguez as Sin-Dee Rella and Mya Taylor as Alexandra is electric. The relatable bond between bff’s meshes beautifully with the raunchy humor and escalating tensions of traversing Hollywood on Christmas Eve.

And what better to pair Hollywood hijinks with Tangerine Dream? Even though the movie isn’t streaming now, the liquid is considered an all-day, all-year vape dream!  The fruity flavor is the perfect cloud escapade companion to watching the girls take the city by storm in their pursuit.

And that’s our recommendations! For a full list of what’s being released in October, please check out the article on Vulture here. Happy binging, stay warm and vape responsibly!
