How Often Do I Need to Change My Refillable Pods?

How Often Do I Need to Change My Refillable Pods?

Knowing when you need to change your pod is dependent on a number of factors related to your vaping habits. Being aware of your vape habits can make you a smarter customer, a better vaper, and help in taking care of your vape equipment.

How much you’re vaping can help you predict how long you’ll need before you change your refillable pod. It’s a simple but easy part of vaping, but it’s also important to be as knowledgeable about every aspect of vaping.

Most refillable pods last 3-5 days, although that approximation depends on how often you vape. An important aspect is knowing the signs of needing to refill your pod. Two warning signs that you need to change your pod is a reduction in flavor and a reduction in vapor emitted from your pod.

How Much Do You Vape?

When you first start vaping, you should pay close attention to how much e-juice you use during the day normal day. By simply tracking your e-juice usage, you can usually figure out exactly how often you will need to refill your pod so that you don’t ever find yourself stuck without an e-juice supply.

If you only vape for a few minutes every day, you’re not going to burn through a significant amount of e-juice. However, if you chain vape throughout the day or work a job that requires you to spend a lot of time outside or in the car where you can vape often, you’re going to need to refill your pod a lot.

A simple equation applies to refilling your pod: the more often you vape, the more often you will need to refill your pod. But how do you know when you need to refill. There are a couple warning signs that could help, such as your flavor potency and the amount of vapor that comes out with every pull.

The Flavor Starts Losing Potency

When your e-cig starts to lose its flavor, that’s when you know it’s time to refill or replace your pod. This again, depends on how much you vape, but once you notice a dip in potency it might be time for you to think about refilling your pod.

If you’re vaping, for example, the Cool Mint Juul Pod and you were a heavy smoker, you might go through a pod or more a day and lose the flavor of potency quickly. The JUUL

The Vapor Starts To Decrease

Once you start pulling and you notice a decrease in flavor quality from your vape, it might be time to change your pod. If you let your pod go long enough without changing it, it might start to burn when you take hits. This also depends on how often you vape and how quickly you go through your pods.

The Dry Hit

This is perhaps the worst way to find out you need a new pod - you take a pull and instead of sweet, satisfying vapor you end up with a harsh, burnt taste. It's almost like smoking, but it might even taste worse.

There are two ways to get a dry hit - one is to vape every last drop of liquid in your pod, making a change obviously necessary. But if you're prone to chain-vaping, you may end up vaporizing the juice on your coil faster than your wick can draw more in - either way, once your wicks are burned by a too-hot coil, you're pretty much done for and it's time for a change.

Bottom line - keep an eye on your liquid levels, and make sure you're pausing for a bit between puffs. Follow these two simple tips and you're sure to get the most out of any pod device.
