Ultra-Portable Vape Devices

For some time now, vape mods have been getting bigger and bulkier. This has been largely necessitated due to our never-ending demand for 'More Power!' that's demanded more batteries and bigger tanks to hold ever-increasing amounts of e-liquid that we're vaping seemingly just as quickly as the small tanks of old between fills.

This lust for ever-expanding size, though, seems to be coming to an end, at least on some fronts. For this, pockets and purses everywhere are no doubt giving thanks.

For proof, one need look no further than what's likely the hottest mod of the last year – the Wismec-Jaybo Reuleaux RX 200 Box Mod. Undoubtedly one of the bulkiest beasts we've ever seen due to its demand for three 18650 cells instead of the usual one or two, even the latest model, the RX 2/3, comes with an option of trimming the fat by running in dual-cell mode.

But that's just the start, and there are plenty of great options that are even more compact.

If you still need the power and battery life of a dual-cell mod, check out the latest and greatest from industry stalwart Pioneer4You – the iPV 8. It's one of the smallest dual-18650 packages out there, but still delivers a blistering 230 watts of potential power and a full set of features including variable temperature control.

But we can get even smaller still. Kanger's latest, the TOGO Mini, has a built-in 3.8 ml tank and onboard 1600 mAh battery with convenient micro-USB charging

For the ultimate in stealth vaping and easy pocketability, even the once-dreaded cigalike category has been making a strong comeback. While you won't get a lot of customization or huge cloud-chucking ability, there are still some very solid options to consider. We took a look at some of the most popular new devices recently. While the My. Von Earl ended up tops in our book, each device showed much more potential than we'd have anticipated.

These are just a few choices out there, and we're not even getting into the slew of full-performance compact tank options like Smok's admirable TFV8 Baby Beast. If you haven't gone mod shopping in a while, take a look around our hardware section – we think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
